Success stories

Answer these questions: Improve performance.

What do your customers enjoy and endure? What are your capabilities and are they aligned? What are your paradigms and are they true?

Challenges we all face

We believe many companies struggle to understand and create brand intimacy. We believe many managers struggle to optimise, adapt and grow their team’s capabilities. We believe many people struggle with their own paradigms, unable to see what is truly around them.

Why us?

We are all directors / senior managers who have succeed (and to be honest occasionally failed) at different stages of our careers to understand and transform organisations struggling with challenge or change.

We truly enjoy offering a little extra horsepower to help unlock the true potential of your employees to rapidly change the trajectory of your business. We get a kick out of those lightbulb moments in life.

What will we do?

We won’t overstay our welcome and be warned, we won’t do all the work. We will teach, train and coach your people so they can succeed time and time again. We will unlock mental resilience, empower ownership and create high performance.

It’s great when you can allow data to speak for you – a site that was previously bottom in the monthly stats across the whole group topped the table with the best OTIF! Same people, plant and processes, if you are interested to know how they turned their performance around then please get in touch.

Siemens

Siemens was a formative experience for me and it’s where my passion for how things are made came from – particularly how they could be made quicker and better. At Siemens, I was responsible for product lines, introducing new products and working out how we were going to make them.

McCarthy & Stone

While some consultants prefer to work in their own offices, away from their clients on a more conceptual footing, my experience on the shop floor means I am often called in for a more hands-on approach. Whilst some consultants sit in the board room talking about opportunities, I like to get into the nuts and bolts, get into the business to deliver those savings or improvements. At McCarthy & Stone – a major national house builder – I directly coached the development director, regional development directors and their team’s on a build cost reduction programme that saved over £10 million.

Airbus

Airbus is a European multinational aerospace corporation that designs and manufactures civil and military aerospace products for airlines and government agencies the world over. At Airbus, I busted the “black art” of aircraft painting to achieve colour process control with a CPk >1.33, reducing rework and saving €1.6M, not easy with EasyJet Orange paint.  Even harder as a 25-year-old with no knowledge of the process in a unionised paint-shop. In the boardroom I was known as the ‘acceptable face of manufacturing’ because I could talk to the directors and CEO about the improvement programme and then listen to shop floor staff, work out the details and talk about how change could happen.

DMU BS & MMU BS

I can do what I can do because a lot of great leaders took the time to show me what success looks like, but I also earned an MBA from Manchester Metropolitan University Business School MMU). The year after graduation, my dissertation on Siemens was picked up by MMU and they asked if I could talk through the Siemens improvement project with their students. That became an annual fixture. On the strength of that, I was asked to develop and deliver modules for MBA and MSc degrees at De Montfort University on the theory and practical reality of Business Change Management.

Siemens, Hewland & Renold

Experienced in multiple successful new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) & Customer Relation Management (CRM) system go-lives and have also fixed many “broken” ERP systems without changing the system itself. Data integrity and process compliance is key – systems are only as good as what you feed them. Experienced in Infor, Salesforce, SAP and others.

Renold

Experienced interim MD who empowered and motivated an underperforming factory to increase On Time Delivery from 65% to 94% with the same people, plant and systems. Sometimes, at board level, it’s obvious that things aren’t on track while the shop floor is also frustrated by factors out of their control. That’s when you must look at the entire process and fix things all along the chain so people can do their job on time, in full. The effect then cascades back up the system, making administration, sales and executive functions more efficient, productive and happy.
